Simmering

Simmering beneath the surface

A quiet yet ever present hostility

It shows itself without guise of pity

Simmering beneath the surface

A quiet yet perceptible accusation

It stares coldly with clear indignation

Simmering beneath the surface

A quiet yet wide opened judgment

It points finger of blame without lament

Simmering beneath the surface

A quiet yet painful lingering cry

It rips into raw wounds as I wonder why
