Judging by…

wood

Judging by appearance

–catching sight of only what lies on the surface

–and deciding that must be all there is to see

–indifferent to the depth of spirit that lies beneath

Judging by appearance

–picking out an incident or decision made unthinking

–and disregarding all the good things which went before

–blind to all the facets in the gem as conclusion is drawn

Judging by appearance

–finding fault with small detail of what makes up the whole

–and allowing it to dictate every future thought or feeling

–inconceivable that what remains unseen may change the view
