A Limerick and More

A man with most defensive stance

did pass through my life just by chance

so full of irk and ire was he

that it gave me great glee

to gesture just behind his glance.

A woman of such squeamish pride

far to close to my home does abide

so nasty and cruel

she painted others the fool

her own inner ugliness to hide.

A child of wild humor and charm

used his wit to keep self from all harm

so careful he shielded

that love he never yielded

and pushed all away to his alarm.

The point of this silly small rhyme

being ones self is nary a crime

just know others can see

the better self you should be

and walk away in peace sublime.
